Monday Jun 22, 2020
Hong is the first return guest to the show, he was on a little over a year ago on episode 4, so if you haven't already make sure to check it out. The reason I asked Hong on again is because a lot has happened in the last year since he was on. After he was on the podcast, Hong won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Germany. Hong was going to retire after that and it seemed like a good way to finish. However, after a little persuasion Hong decided to come back for one more Euros so to round off his 20 year career with 10 Worlds and 10 Euros. But the story didn't end there as Hong actually went and won the Euros last year in Bosnia and got the dream fairy tale ending of retiring as European Champion. So today, Hong tells the story of the ups and downs of the last year, how he's dealing with retirement from competition and his goal for the future.
